NRW in Small Systems – DMAs for PVC – Chris Leauber
The IWA/AWWA Free Water Audit Software determined that the vast quantity and value of NRW for the Water & Wastewater Authority of Wilson County, Tennessee, USA is real losses. This utility case study will focus on how the Authority uses the performance indicators to prioritize leakage intervention activities utilizing the DMA and Step Testing methodology throughout the 23 permanent DMAs covering 345 miles of PVC main. The presentation will provide actual water utility first-hand in-the-field experiences and data used to cost effectively locate leakage allowing the Authority to maintain low levels of real losses near an ILI of 1.0.
